The end of year BBQ and Rocket Launch is the last scouting event of the scouting season. Rockets will be handed out during the May den meeting.
Scouts can paint their rockets any way they wish. However because these are real rockets and not soda bottle rockets there cannot be any attachments that will throw off the weight and balance of the rocket. So no accessories like go pros, strings, weights, etc. Just what is in the kit and paint (stickers are ok as well). There is no awards for this event, just pure fun. All levels of scouts can participate in the event.
Typically we will meet at Oakbourne and have a BBQ. Pack members will be asked to bring a food or dessert item. Details of this willl be on sign up genius. Weather permitting, we will move to an open area and start the launch.
There will be a sign up genius put out with a list of what we need people to bring. We ask that each member family who attends, please bring at least one item from the list. Additionally we will be asking for volunteers to help with the set up, cooking, passing out the food, and assist with the launch.
