Scouting, whether it is in Boy Scouts or Cub Scouts is about learning life skills. The skills that are taught in the scouting programs lead to better social skills, better leadership qualities, more social interaction, and especially friendships. Scouting is inclusive as we accept boys and girls in grades Kindergarten through the fifth grade. Scouting is ingrained in getting the kids to go outside. Most of our events are designed to get our kids unplugged and go outside to enjoy nature. This can be a walk, observing plants and animals, camping, and others. Below there are two link to videos that are from our You Tube Channel. This videos show what scouting is all about and what are the principles of scouting

Spring Campout at Ashland Nature Center & Fishing Trip
This spring was packed with activities. We had a our spring campout at Ashland Nature Center. There we took a nighttime hike and talked about the constellations and planets. After that, we got a well deserved rest and had S'mores. In the morning, we took another hike and talked about different trees and their medical benefits, had breakfast, and learned about animals. Along the weay we saw bats, birds, snakes, oh my!!
This past weekend, we just did out fishing tournament at Linvilla. It was a friendly competetion where the scouts competed for most fish, first fish, biggest fish, and of course smallest fish. It was a great time and we were realing them in left and right. Thanks to Linvilla for having us!! The scouts had a great time.
