What is Scouting all about?
Scouting, whether it is in Boy Scouts or Cub Scouts is about learning life skills. The skills that are taught in the scouting programs lead to better social skills, better leadership qualities, more social interaction, and especially friendships. Scouting is inclusive as we accept boys and girls in grades Kindergarten through the fifth grade. Scouting is ingrained in getting the kids to go outside. Most of our events are designed to get our kids unplugged and go outside to enjoy nature. This can be a walk, observing plants and animals, camping, and others. Gettysburg Overnight
The Pack had a great time at Gettysburg. While it got a little warm in the afternoon, we all had a great time. The scouts muscled through a 5 mile hike from the midpoint of the Union Line down to Devils Den, up Little Round Top and back. It all paid off at night when we had a campfire and s'mores.
